　　《英雄聯盟》IEM（Intel Extreme Masters）Season 8世界冠軍賽，除了有歐洲與韓國隊伍參賽外，今年更加入北美、中國隊伍參賽，而 Azubu Taipei Assassins（AZB TPA）將受邀代表 Garena 地區出戰，與其他各區頂尖隊伍爭取世界冠軍榮耀以及 6 萬美元獎金。

《英雄聯盟》今年首場世界級賽事
　　Intel 贊助的 Intel Extreme Masters（IEM）是隸屬於 ESL 電競組織裡的聯賽制度，自 2007 年開始舉辦至今第 8 屆，而《英雄聯盟》在 2011 年正式加入聯賽。今年 IEM 聯賽擴大辦理，邀請來自歐洲、北美、中國、韓國、Garena 地區等代表隊伍，一同角逐世界冠軍。

　　於台灣時間 2014 年 3 月 14 日至 3 月 17 日即將舉行的 IEM Season 8《英雄聯盟》世界冠軍賽，參賽隊伍分別選自於去年 7 月開始舉行的 IEM Season 8 職業盃賽各站冠軍代表，加上歐洲、北美、南韓以及 Garena 地區的受邀隊伍組成，共有 Cloud 9（北美）、Fnatic（歐洲）、Gambit Gaming（俄羅斯）、Invictus Gaming（中國）、KT Rolster Bullets（南韓）、Millenium（歐洲）、World Elite（中國）以及 AZB TPA(Garena 地區）等 8 支隊伍，一同角逐冠軍殊榮。

AZB TPA 首戰 Gambit Gaming
　　本次世界冠軍賽將 8 支隊伍分成 AB 兩組進行 Bo1 小組賽，各組前兩強將晉級單淘汰制四強賽，總決賽於台灣時間 3 月 17 日零時 30 分在波蘭卡托維茲 Spodek 體育館舉行；而 AZB TPA 首場戰事將於台灣時間 3 月 15 日凌晨 0 時 20 分對上前身為 M5 的 Gambit Gaming。
