藥物治療可能會導致某些副作用，包括頭痛、起疹，甚至是痙攣。然而，土耳其一名女子服用治療帕金森氏症（Parkinson）的藥物後，竟出現異於常人的「副作用」：每日自發性「性高潮」五次，且性慾異常亢奮。

據英國《每日郵報》（Daily Mail）報導，土耳其一名42歲婦人患有會導致神經退化的「帕金森氏症」，因此醫生開立治療該症的藥物Rasagiline讓婦女服用，未料在服用七天後，每天竟會自動性高潮五次，一次時間5至20秒。

藥物Rasagiline可以增加多巴胺濃度，緩解帕金森氏症的四肢顫抖、肌肉僵硬、運動緩慢等的症狀，常見的副作用包括頭暈、便秘、口乾等。醫生表示，婦女的「自動高潮」副作用是全國首例，報告將會刊登在《帕金森氏症暨相關失常》(Parkinsonism and Related Disorders)期刊中。
