推廣籃球 NBA明年在南非辦季前賽

美國職業籃球NBA宣布，明年8月將在南非舉行季前賽。這將是美國職業運動第一次到非洲舉辦比賽。
NBA副執行長塔特姆(Mark Tatum)5日在南非約翰尼斯堡做了這項宣布。他目前正在約翰尼斯堡參加NBA所主辦的「籃球無國界訓練營」(Basketball without Borders camp)活動。
塔特姆說，NBA將成為第一個到非洲大陸比賽的職業運動，代表NBA對提升非洲籃球運動的承諾，而所有活動的收入都將捐贈公益。
NBA最早在2003年於南非舉辦籃球營活動，此後幾乎每年都會依例舉行。除了有NBA球員和教練指導大約60名非洲年輕球員打球外，活動也會提供醫療服務，並教導學員生活技能的課程。
籃球無國界是NBA跟國際籃總從2001年開始合作的籃球推廣活動，每年在各大洲選定城市，邀集17歲到18歲的潛力球員，由NBA球員進行短期集訓。
