敘利亞總統阿塞德否認使用化武對付人民。他接受美國哥倫比亞電視台在大馬士革專訪說，「沒有證據證明我用化學武器對付我的人民」，這段專訪將於9日播出。聯合國據稱本周公布敘利亞武檢報告。
