（中央社華盛頓8日綜合外電報導）美國國會幕僚今天表示，歐巴馬政府官員本週將為全體國會議員舉行簡報。此時歐巴馬總統正說明他對伊斯蘭國（IS）好戰分子發動攻勢的理由。

美國眾院幕僚說，政府官員11日將為全體435名眾議員舉行簡報。參院幕僚則說，為100名參議員安排的簡報10日就會舉行。

歐巴馬10日將向全美發表談話，闡明他遏止伊斯蘭國的戰略，同時將設法避免民眾擔心，美國會因此走向另1場全面戰爭。這個回教激進團體已攻占敘利亞和伊拉克大片土地。

歐巴馬在發表這項談話之前，將於明天會見參院多數黨領袖瑞德（Harry Reid）、參院少數黨領袖麥康奈（Mitch McConnell）、眾院議長貝納（John Boehner）和眾院少數黨領袖裴洛西（Nancy Pelosi）等4名國會領導人。(中央社)
