1950特碼專線係政府於民國88年12月6日規劃建置，

祇要拿起按鍵式電話或手機撥打1、9、5、0四個碼，

就會直接轉接至所在地縣市政府消費者服務中心。

基於使用者付費原則，1950專線之計費方式，

比照一般市內電話或行動電話收費；

亦即消費者以市內電話撥打，即以市話計價，

若以行動電話撥打，則以行動電話撥市話費率計費。
