美國國務卿凱瑞在得知俄羅斯將發給美國情報洩密者史諾登(Edward Snowden)臨時文件後，打電話給俄羅斯外長拉夫羅夫，目前不知是否將影響史諾登命運，但史諾登仍未獲得俄國文件。
綜合媒體報導，美國方面在莫斯科時間25日再次呼籲，希望俄羅斯交出史諾登，讓他回到美國面對司法審判。
美國駐莫斯科大使麥弗爾（Michael McFaul）通過推特表示：「美國不是要求『引渡』，僅是要求歸還史諾登先生。我們曾將許多人遣返俄羅斯。」
美國國務院發言人莎琪（Jen Psaki）表示，凱瑞在電話中與拉夫羅夫重申，史諾登必須回到美國。此外，莎琪指出，「任何允許史諾登離開機場的行為，都讓人失望。」
為史諾登提供協助的律師庫奇瑞納（Anatoly Kucherena）表示，史諾登截至24日仍未獲得文件，這一狀況讓史諾登非常焦慮。此外，史諾登仍滯留在莫斯科謝瑞米提耶佛機場過境區。
據美聯社分析，「目前俄美關係因為敘利亞問題的分歧、美國政府對俄羅斯內政的干預而出現一系列矛盾，允許史諾登入境俄羅斯無疑將加劇兩國的緊張關係。」
目前，史諾登仍在等待俄羅斯的文件。
