媒體報導，軍法移送司法後，曾轟動一時的共諜羅賢哲日前也在獄中喊冤，指控遭到美國聯邦調查局(FBI)入罪陷害。對此，國防部表示，羅賢哲出賣、背叛國家，理應接受法律制裁。

根據《中國時報》報導，羅賢哲在寫給胞兄羅聖賢的家書中驚爆，美國聯邦調查局在夏威夷「設局」讓他入罪，並派員來台與軍檢聯合審判，還在偵訊室比出手槍的手勢，暗示要將他槍決，威嚇他認罪；羅賢哲還指控，軍檢公布的偵訊光碟都是經過剪接，把恐嚇他的內容全部刪除。

對於媒體報導，國防部18日上午表示，羅賢哲接受國家栽培拔擢，竟然不知潔身自好，忠誠報國，自2004年起為中共官員吸收利用，從事收集、交付情報之間諜活動，並且收受中共官員所給付之財物賄賂，毁傷國家利益，危害國家安全，對國軍軍譽與士氣的衝擊重大，高等軍事法院於2011年5月19日起訴羅賢哲時，本應求處極刑，惟考量偵查期間，羅賢哲自白犯罪事實，並主動繳交貪污犯罪所得，因此依據陸海空軍刑法第25條後段及貪污治罪條例第8條第2項減輕其刑之規定，求處羅賢哲無期徒刑。

國防部強調，羅賢哲出賣國家、背叛國家，喪失軍人忠貞氣節，自當接受國法制裁，以彰軍紀，並儆效尤。
