「超級警察」布拉頓 回鍋任紐約市警長

紐約市長當選人白思豪5日任命國際名聲響亮的「超級警察」布拉頓（Bill Bratton）回鍋擔任紐約市警局局長。布拉頓將於明年1月1日與白思豪一起上任。

66歲的布拉頓資歷傲人，是美國唯一一位在紐約市和洛杉磯市這兩個犯罪率高的大都會都當過警察局長的人物。

布拉頓在1994到96年朱良尼擔任紐約市長期間擔任紐約市警察局長，他的「零容忍」政策，使紐約市犯罪率大幅下降。在他擔任紐約市警局長的第一年，紐約犯罪率就下降四成，1995年採用警察績效管理系統CompStat，追蹤和分析即時的犯罪資料，讓管區警察負起責任，這套系統很快被美國各大城市警局採用。

不過，布拉頓與朱良尼經常衝突，1996年辭職，2002年起擔任洛杉磯市警局長至2009年。他也當過波士頓市警局長。（路透、法新社）
