日本職棒31日中央聯盟戰況，讀賣巨人隊打者村田修一單月敲出46支安打，打破中央聯盟紀錄。
村田賽後說：「能在例行賽中最重要的8月份破紀錄，對我來說十分開心。」
中日龍隊則是以9:6擊敗巨人隊，老將和田一浩與洋將Matt Clark都開轟，Clark還敲出直擊東京巨蛋屋頂的超級高飛球，不過被接殺。
巨人對老將高橋由伸打出本季第六轟的3分彈，Jose Lopez則是敲出本季第17轟，可惜巨人還是落敗。
養樂多隊與DeNA灣星隊之戰，DeNA由捕手黒羽根利規，洋砲Tony Blanco、Nyjer Morgan開砲，以12:9擊敗養樂多隊。
