黑田取得個人本季第11勝，也是他在今年球季的第9次無失分的比賽。他在最近7場先發，戰績是4勝1敗、防禦率0.93。
天使投手理察斯(Garrett Richards)完投8局，只被擊出7支安打失2分，第3局被洋基隊賈納(Brett Gardner)揮出安打掉第1分，7局再被葛蘭德森(Curtis Granderson)揮出陽春全壘打失分。
