疾病管制署上午發布狂犬病最新監測結果，新增四例鼬獾確診為狂犬病，分別來自台中市東勢區、南投縣埔里鎮、雲林縣古坑鄉及台東縣海端鄉。8月4日已確定39例鼬獾確診感染狂犬病，其餘皆未檢出狂犬病。

疾管署表示，台灣狂犬病最高風險與最大威脅是「鼬獾」，警告民眾不要接觸、獵捕與飼養鼬獾或其他野生動物，如發現動物屍體，千萬不要碰觸，要通知各地動物防疫機關來處理，或撥打農委會通報專線0800-761-590。
