加拿大終止投資移民 中國富人怒提告

加拿大政府在2月宣布永久取消投資移民計畫，這項決定引發有意移民的外國富豪、特別是中國富豪的不滿，決定對加拿大政府提出告訴。
加拿大原本的投資移民政策被抨擊為中國富人進入加拿大大開方便之門。今年2月，加拿大決定取消移民投資，相關申請全部被退回，其中包括排隊等候的4萬6千多名大陸人。
律師雷希(Timothy Leahy)7日表示，將在近期內對加拿大政府提出第二項控訴。
在6月時，雷希和另一名律師已經代表1,400多名投資移民申請者，控告加拿大政府取消移民投資，其中超過1,300名申請人是來自大陸的富豪。另外111人來自英國、印度等國。
訴訟中要求完成當事人的投資移民申請，或賠償每名申請者和家屬500萬加幣(新台幣1億3,560萬元)。
加拿大自1980年代採行投資快速移民政策，外國人士若有至少80萬加幣(73萬2,533美元)淨資產，或至少投資40萬加幣，就可以取得加拿大公民權。後來這項移民門檻提高為淨資產160萬加幣，以及投資至少80萬加幣。
