加州大學城濫射案有重大轉折，警方24日在死去槍手羅傑所住的維斯塔島社區公寓大樓發現3具屍體，朋友指認其中兩名死者為加州聖塔芭芭拉大學的學生。但媒體目前未能確定這三人是否同樣被羅傑殺害。

另外在24日，羅傑親筆寫的140頁自白曝光，，標題是「我的扭曲世界」，其中他列出殺人計畫，揚言在維斯塔島「秘密殺掉多人，方法是把用某種詭計把這些人引誘到我的公寓」。這分自白在執行屠殺幾小時前公布。
