美國專欄作家格雷戈里5日在富比世雜誌撰文指出，俄國總統普亭的「公民社會及人權顧問委員會」曾在網上公布一份文件，顯示克里米亞共和國在今年三月舉行自治公投的非官方結果。這份文件指出，參與公投的克里米亞人僅占當地總人口的30%-50%，而選擇與俄國統一的克里米亞選民僅50%-60%。依此推估，僅15%-30%的克里米亞人贊成與俄國統一

克里米亞自治公投選舉委員會公布的官方數字是：投票率83.1%，支持與俄國統一者為97%。
