事實上，任何物質都會在高溫下都會氣化，只要達到該物質的沸點便可。

不銹鋼是鐵的合金，含有錳、小量其他金屬和碳。根據 Webelements，純錳的沸點是 2061°C，但在高溫下，不銹鋼會首先熔化成液態合金，錳的沸點會改變。但無論如何，只要溫度高於錳的沸點，錳會氣化逸出。
