臺中快捷巴士BRT藍線土建工程已經動工，為方便民眾查詢第一手資訊，市府交通局特別推出了「臺中BRT」APP應用程式，民眾只要利用智慧型手機上網查詢，就能隨時掌握BRT施工進度、施工地區交通狀態，以及BRT的各項最新消息。
「臺中BRT」APP並有連接之前交通局推出的「臺中i-yo」、「臺中e停車」、「iBus台中」3個交通動態APP，民眾可以隨時查詢臺中交通即時狀況、停車動態及公車動態。
市府交通局指出，新推出的「臺中BRT」APP從民眾角度做設計，主要內容有:「最新消息」，提供最新BRT活動、新聞與訊息;「BRT介紹及路線」，介紹BRT特色及藍線車道規劃、藍線優先路段站位、後續路網等資訊;「工程進度訊息」則提供藍線目前最新施工進度與狀況;「施工改道措施」，提供施工期間改道資訊與道路狀況;另外，APP的頁面上並可快速連結BRT官方Facebook「我愛臺中BRT」，了解臉書粉絲的互動與各項訊息。
交通局表示，目前先完成的「臺中BRT」APP 為Android版本，民眾可以透過Google play，搜尋「臺中BRT」下載並進行安裝；預計今年十月可再推出ios 版本； 未來「臺中BRT」APP並規劃再擴充「即時行車訊息」、「即時到班訊息」、「票價查詢」與「高鐵與台鐵轉乘訊息」等功能，讓民眾一機在手就能掌握所有交通資訊。
交通局指出，BRT藍線優先路段，東海大學至靜宜大學段預計在今年年底試運轉，臺中火車站到靜宜大學預計明年3月全線試運轉，對於施工期間造成用路人的不便，交通局除了全力做好相關配套措施外，也歡迎民眾多多使用「臺中BRT」APP，掌握施工路段之交通狀況，提早改道或選擇其他交通工具，降低交通衝擊。
