監察院長王建煊促改革監院，並指監院「食之無味，棄之可惜」，還說監委職務形同「酬庸」，總統馬英九今（15）日受訪表示，恐怕是很大的誤會。
總統馬英九「賀誼專案」到了巴拉圭，台北時間今日上午9時30分與隨團媒體茶敘，同時間與台北連線，向國人報告此行，並回答記者提問。
記者提問，總統每天上班的時候都會向國父鞠躬，而國父留下了五權分立的制度，但監察院長王建煊決定要自廢武功，還說監察委員是酬庸，王建煊適任嗎？
總統回應說，到底是因為制度設計不當或運作上產生的困難，恐要進一步瞭解，憲法五權分立互相制衡、合作，過去幾十年來也可以運作得可以，並非都有這樣的問題，所以要進一步檢討，才能確認問題在哪。
馬英九表示，在這階段，要先觀察瞭解，必要得時候，「看看有沒有我們需要幫忙的地方」。
馬英九還說，當初在提名監委時是否有酬庸，恐怕是很大的誤會，因為實在不需要去酬庸任何東西，主要是要看，能不能發揮功能。
