在國際美元走弱，加上中央銀行尾盤未逆勢阻升，新台幣兌美元匯價8日收盤站穩2字頭，終場以29.96元作收、升值6.5分，台北外匯經紀公司成交量5.49億美元。

在市場擔憂美國聯準會將削減購債規模，國際美元走弱，8日亞洲主要貨幣包括日圓、韓元及星幣等兌美元都走揚，其中日圓一度來到96.06日圓兌1美元，韓元則一度來到1111.8韓元兌1美元。

至於新台幣，匯銀人士指出，8日以30.025元平盤開出後，在修正前一交易日央行阻升匯價的補漲效應，加上亞幣走揚，新台幣隨後升破30元，盤中一度來到29.905元、升值1.2角。

不過，由於台股走跌，加上市場觀望氣氛濃，新台幣兌美元匯價在29.93元陷入盤整，終場則在央行未逆勢阻升下，新台幣兌美元匯價站穩2字頭，以29.96元作收、升值6.5分。
