小時候我們就不斷被教導應該有禮貌，上至做健身操時要喊「愛清潔、有禮貌」，下至過馬路有馬路禮儀、吃飯時有餐桌禮儀。除了在現實世界要有禮貌之外，各式各樣的社群網站提供許多不同的虛擬社群互動，雖然是隔空透過網路互動，但是 Facebook 與 Twitter 等大型的社群網站大多採實名制，可以說非常地貼近真實世界、真實社群，因此在那兒，「禮貌」也不能忘。

現在要介紹的網路禮儀特別以 Facebook 為首的社群網站為主，畢竟社群網站的精華在於人與人之間的互動，有互動就容易牽扯到各種禮儀問題。
